SEND AN EMAIL: Protect Public Education in Texas

When public schools are not adequately funded, they are often forced to cut essential resources, including the library budget and staff.

Public education is a fundamental part of communities across Texas.

Schemes that create vouchers and Educational Savings Accounts that take away funding from public schools to fund private education will have detrimental effects on the most vulnerable populations within the state, including BIPOC, immigrant communities, and rural communities, which may not have the existing infrastructure to support private and charter schools.

Texans must protect public education by opposing bills like HB212, HB612, HB1657,  HB984, and HB1278 that would ultimately take away important funding for schools statewide.
